Teaching and Learning Innovation

Welcome to my website
You can find out about the "facts" of my career through visiting
LinkedIn for details of my career history / experience
and
Google Scholar for an almost complete list of my research outputs.
This site is about sharing a bit more of a personal perspective
on where I've been and what I've done in teaching and learning over the past 15 years or so.
Here I use "teaching and learning" advisedly.
I know there has been a general drift towards "learning and teaching" to emphasize the centrality and importance of students in the
learning process. But where would we be without teachers?
The answer to that question is that we would be a long way away from students
achieving the sorts of outcomes that we want them to achieve. Teachers design curricula, courses, units and learning experiences and
teachers support and guide their students.
However, I recognize the shift that has occurred in teaching and learning, a shift
perhaps best characterized in terms of students having a much more active role in the learning process along with teachers taking
on something more of a facilitation role or guiding role.
